Jason Roebke
Jason Roebke is a bassist and composer living in Chicago. He is active in the groups tigersmilk (Rob Mazurek and Dylan van der Schyff), The Fred Lonberg-Holm Trio (Fred Lonberg-Holm and Frank Rosaly), Terminal 4 (Fred Lonberg-Holm, Jeb Bishop, Ben Vida), and his own Rapid Croche (Aram Shelton and Tim Daisy). Roebke is also a frequent collaborator with visitors to Chicago. He has shared the stage with Paul Lytton, Wolter Wierbos, Francois Houle, Andrew D'Angelo, Charlie Kohlhase, and Tony Bevan, Francois Houle, Han Bennink, Marc Ducret, Gail Brand's Lunge, Taku Sugimoto, Tetuzi Akiyama, and Toshimaru Nakamura. Roebke collaborates with dancer Ayako Kato in the group Art Union Humanscape about which the New York Times wrote "...their improvisatory inventiveness let fascinating sonic and kinetic forms arise out of nothingness and then return to it." While visiting Japan, he has collaborated with Taku Sugimoto, Tetuzi Akiyama, Seijiro Murayama, and Toshimaru Nakamura.
